It is tech week so I have been dealing with a lot of
artificial light. As a result I thought to go outside and try to get some
natural light and air. I was lucky enough to be able to see a humming bird drinking
water to try and cool down. The lighting in the picture that I took of the bird
ended up being interesting. This picture was taken in the afternoon so the sun
was not very bright. The sun is also shinning through the tree, which I feel is
making a natural gobo. The water is
reflecting the light and as a result looks sparkling. The way that the light
shines on the rocks is also different from other aspects of the picture. The
rocks only have a small sections being covered by light so most of them are
being hidden by shadow. Overall the shadows create a lot of different
dimensions and the picture looks interesting as a result.
